All online orders are sent encrypted at 128 bits prior to transmission. We store this information in a secure server to which only select personnel within our company have access so we can fulfill your order. We process credit card transactions through Paymentech processing which also uses 128 bit encryption to protect your payment information.

Cookies

Our web site uses “cookies.” A cookie is a piece of data stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. It does not contain any personal information. A cookie allows you to enjoy special features of our web site such as ordering online, reviewing your order history, and recognizing you as a return customer.

Registration

If you want to order online from our web site, you must complete our online registration form. Registration also provides other benefits such as access to your previous orders and your personal address book.

Information Collection and Usage

The primary use of the information you provide is for billing purposes and order fulfillment. We use Paymentech to process your credit card and UPS to ship your order. These parties receive only the information required for them to perform these services. We will not provide information about you to third parties except for the purposes just stated or if required by law. If we change our credit card processor or shipping company, our privacy policy regarding information collection and usage will apply to these new parties.

Email Communications

We send email confirmations of your online order to you. We may also need to contact you by email if we have any questions as we’re processing your order. UPS emails you with the tracking number for each of your recipients when his/her order ships.

When you order online, you have the option of adding your email address to our email list. This list is used for periodic emails regarding our web site, new product offerings, seasonal offerings, and special promotions. If you agree to join our email list but in the future choose to no longer receive these marketing communications, you can use the Manage Your Subscription Link at the bottom of each promotional email to be removed from future email updates. If you enter a sweepstakes, contest, or other promotion sponsored by Black Hound New York which requires an email address as part of the entry form, the promotional rules will state if we automatically add your email address to our email list.
